42 citations given at Trumbull OVI checkpoint

WARREN — Police issued 42 citations but none for drunken driving during a Trumbull County Operating a Vehicle while Impaired Task Force checkpoint here Wednesday.

Capt. Tim Bowers said the citations were issued at a checkpoint set up at North Park Avenue and Scott Street from 5 to 9 p.m. Most of the citations given out were for failure to wear a seat belt. The city police warrants squad and U.S. Marshals Service did arrest six people on outstanding warrants.
