Trumbull Mobile Meals extends special diet program

WARREN — Trumbull County commissioners have awarded Trumbull Mobile Meals Inc. $19,999 to extend its special diet program.

Trumbull Mobile services 270 clients daily and delivers 280 to 470 meals each day through the use of volunteers.

The money provided during the board’s meeting today to extend the special meals program is from the county senior levy.

Sandra Mathews, agency executive director, said the special meals include no sugar, low fat, bland and renal diets for those on dialysis.
