Macy's will expand North Jackson warehouse

NORTH JACKSON —  After cutting jobs since taking over the former Kaufmann’s warehouse here, Macy’s intends to expand the building and add jobs.

About 30 jobs are to be added in the expansion, which would cost between $6.2 million and $8.5 million, said the Regional Chamber, which handles economic development activities for Mahoning County.

Cincinnati-based Macy’s took over the warehouse at Bailey Road and Mahoning Avenue when it acquired May Department Stores in 2005. May was the parent company of Kaufmann’s.
