2-vehicle accident leaves man, 67, dead


WARREN — The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Southington Post is investigating a two-vehicle crash that left a motorcyclist dead.

Jack L. Tanner Sr., 67, of Warren, was driving his motorcycle southbound about 3 p.m. Saturday on state Route 45, south of Route 82, in Warren Township.

A car, driven by Julia M. Youngs, 91, of Warren, was traveling north on Route 45. Youngs turned left in front of the motorcycle and the bike hit the car, an OSHP news release said.

Tanner was pronounced dead at the scene. Youngs was taken to the Forum Health Trumbull Memorial emergency room where no information was available about her condition Saturday evening.
