New Castle square to get new fountain

Friday, June 15, 2007

NEW CASTLE, Pa. — New Castle City council has agreed to pay G.B. Sand Co. $57,900 to replace the fountain on Kennedy Square.

The fountain was destroyed just over a year ago when a truck lost its brakes and hit into the square. The city is buying a new fountain from Robinson Iron of Alexander City, Ala., for about $31,000, officials said.
