CLUB CALENDAR | Area groups announce activities

ASSOCIATIONS

Gourmet Group of the Youngstown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at noon Thursday at the home of Dr. Barbara Brothers. Co-hostess will be Lotis Cooper. For reservations call (330) 533-9368.

William Penn Association Branch 28 of Youngstown will meet at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Eat’n Park Restaurant in Boardman. Plans will be made for a golf outing, bus trip and a convention.

ATHLETIC GROUPS

McDonald Sideliners will meet at 7 p.m. Sunday at the high shool.

CLUBS

Casa Savoia will meet at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Butler Museum of American Art in Youngstown for lunch and a tour of the facility. Reservations are to be made with Virginia Pallotta, Evelyn Carbone or Connie Ravoitti.

Chapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at A La Cart in Canfield for a noon luncheon and meeting. The program will be a report on the Ohio PEO State Convention by delegates Karen Matthews and Carol Richards. Laura Reed and Pat Chester will serve as hostesses.

That Quilt Group I Belong To will hold a potluck dinner at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Fair Park Building in Canfield. Guests are welcome.

FRATERNAL GROUPS

Croatian Fraternal Lodge 598 will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

GUILDS

Holborn Herb Gowers Guild will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Mastropietro Winery in Berlin Center for a tour of the facility and a business session.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

Court Bishop James McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will end the season with an indoor picnic to be held at 1 p.m. June 28 at The Elmton, 584 Fifth St., Struthers. Meals will be ordered from the menu. There will be a brief business meeting and entertainment. Guests are welcome. Hostesses will be Barbara Rook and the court officers. Diocesan Legion of Mary Curia will meet at 12:45 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Hall. Refreshments will be provided by Our Lady of Mercy Prasidium. An annual picnic will be held June 24 at the picnic grounds at St. John Church. For more information, call (330) 743-3977.

McDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.

St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the parish house.

Youngstown Council of Catholic Nurses will meet from 5 to 9 p.m. June 27 for a picnic at the Elton Beard Cabin in Boardman Township Park. The cost is $11, and reservations are to be made by Saturday by sending a check to Virginia Criscone Janacone, 464 Catherine St., Youngstown, OH 44505.

SINGLES

D.A.R.E., a social group for divorced, widowed or separated people, will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road.
