Man shot and axed on Belden Avenue gave false ID

The man axed and shot during a home invasion at 3411 Belden Ave. late Monday night is not Dennis Pixley.

The true identity of the man at St. Elizabeth Health Center would be verified today, said Capt. Kenneth Centorame, chief of detectives. He said fingerprints were taken at the hospital of the man who identified himself as Pixley, 18, of Woodcrest Avenue.

Pixley’s mother alerted police, telling them her son’s wallet was lost or stolen a year ago.
