Gilmore hurls no-no, fans 11 in 11-0 victory
Tyler Gilmore was backed by Tony Brunetti’s two doubles and four RBIs.
STRUTHERS — Tyler Gilmore tossed a five-inning no hitter with 11 strikeouts and two walks as Rondinelli Tuxedo defeated Action Physical Therapy 11-0 in a Class B game Tuesday at Cene Park.
Gilmore (1-0) walked two. Tony Brunetti had a pair of doubles and drove home four runs, while Corey Hitt added a pair of singles for Rondinelli (10-1). Action is 5-6.

Jay Leeworthy had two singles while Garrett Malloy drove home two runs with a single for Livi Steel (7-4).
Ross Trinch (1-0) and Mark Carlozzi combined on the four-hit shutout while Mike Olenych (2-1) suffered the loss for Dave Sugar (4-7). Trinch allowed four hits with two strikeouts while Carlozzi fanned four in his two innings of work. Olenych had six strikeouts and allowed three earned runs in his six innings of work while Justin Shaffer had two hits for Dave Sugar.

Youngstown Express 7
Express out-hit Roth Brothers 17-10, but committed five errors and stranded 10 baserunners.
Jeff Miller had three hits, including a double, and went the first 5 2/3 innings on the mound for the win, his first in three decisions.
Danny Sacui, and Pat Mulligan also had two hits each with Mulligan picking up the save on the mound for Roth (3-9). Every starter had at least one hit for the Express (0-12). Greg Brown had a single, a double and a triple, while Kevin Monti, T.J. Rosenberg, Adam Lindsey, and Luke Rambo had two hits apiece.
Wharmby 12, Simon Roofing 3
Adam Meese (2-1) pitched Wharmby to its sixth win. He gave up three earned runs in seven innings on eight hits, two walks and a strikeout.
Wharmby's offense exploded for six runs on five hits in the third. Ben Bechtol had three hits, while Garen Ream and Todd Finn added two apiece. For Simon Roofing, Rich Tisone had two hits and scored a run.

STRUTHERS — A five-run second inning was all R&J Trucking (9-2) needed to prevail.
Dan Kubala pitched five innings, allowing one run with four strikeouts to pick up the win.
Joe Iacobucci, Xavier Godoy, and Scooter Hargate had two hits apiece for R&J. Justin Shaffer had two hits for Dave Sugar (4-6).

NILES — Dan Keil (1-0) pitched a complete game with 10 strikeouts and he hit a double for Action Physical Therapy (5-5) at Wilder Park.
Josh Fyffe drove in two runs in the first inning with a triple for the winners.

YOUNGSTOWN — Mike Sikorski had two home runs, including the game-winning three-run blast in the top of the eighth inning.
Sikorski finished with four RBIs in the game in which there were 26 hits. His game-winner snapped a 5-5 stalemate.
Jim Putko went 4-for-4, while Adam Cox and George Rohan had two hits apiece for Roth (7-0). Both of Rohan’s hits were doubles.
John Hay (3-0) had nine strikeouts over eight innings and held Metros scoreless over the last five innings. Hay has won 13 straight decisions dating back to last year.
For Metros, Armani Johnson and Greg Cimino had two hits apiece, while Chad Irwin added two hits.
For Metros, Tanner Hall went the first five innings before being replaced by Jim Pasquine.

Dave Yost struck out eight and pitched a four-hitter over six innings, while Greg Mentrek got the save. Jim Putko and Mark Nightingale both had two RBIs for the winners, while Willie Sly had a double and single for Penn-Ohio.
