Alleged van attack targets two Campbell women

Tuesday, June 12, 2007

CAMPBELL — The city's streets were the scene of an alleged attempted vehicular assault, when witnesses reported a "van was trying to run people over" early this morning.

Police responded to find a van “full of women,” at the intersection of Jackson and Delmar streets, according to police reports. The women reported a domestic confrontation involving the father of female passenger's child.

Two women standing in the street told police the van's driver had attempted to run them over, reports said. The alleged victims and the man who is said to have been involved in a fight with the van's occupants were advised to meet with the city's law director if they wished to pursue charges, police said.
