No laughing matter

WARREN — Two young men got a lesson during the weekend when their laughter turned on them.

Douglas Gilany, 23, of Canton, and David Greer, 22, of Parkman Road, Warren, told police they were outside a Youngstown Road tavern about 2 a.m. Sunday when two men emerged from the bar and began to fight each other.

The victims told police they began laughing at the two fighters, who stopped fighting with each other and started punching Gilany and Greer. Douglas suffered a large cut to the back of the head and Greer a minor face scrape. No arrests have been made.
