Livi Steel edges Rondinelli, 1-0, behind Revesz’s 3-hit shutout


STRUTHERS — Bobby Revesz tossed a three-hit shutout and Dan Perkins’ RBI single scored the only run of the game, as Livi Steel edged Rondinelli Tuxedo, 1-0, in a Class B League game Sunday at Cene Park.

The loss was Rondinelli’s first of the season after eight wins.

Revesz struck out 10 and walked just one to earn his first win.

The Livi run came in the fourth inning, when Willie Sekula doubled and scored on Perkins’ hit. Frank Rosile doubled for Rondinelli.

Action Physical Therapy broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the top of the seventh inning.

Josh Harkulich and Torin Karsonovich had RBI hits in the winning rally, and Tim Schraldi had a double. Kent Denbow (2-0) pitched a complete game, scattering five hits.

Pat Mulligan hit a double and Adam Hall had an RBI for Roth Brothers (1-9), who committed five errors.

Astro Falcons 4, Roth Brothers 1

Corey Susany (2-0) pitched a complete game Saturday night, allowing five hits.

Dave Dejacimo and D.J. Haurin had doubles for Astro, and Mark Lapikas had an RBI single.

R&J Trucking 5, Livi Steel 2

Scott Smith (2-0) tossed a two-hitter and struck out four for R&J.

Mike Popio and Ed Rohan had two hits apiece for R&J, and combined for three RBIs. One of Popio’s hits was a double.
