Girard man in boxer shorts says he was robbed

YOUNGSTOWN — A 26-year-old Girard man who called 911 to say he was robbed was found standing at a pay phone in his boxer shorts on Wirt Street around 1 a.m. today. The Liberty Avenue man said he was giving a woman a ride home from work and she wanted to stop at a crack house on Wirt. The man said he pulled into a driveway on Wirt and was dragged out of the car and beaten and had his clothes, wallet and keys taken. He said the man who beat him left with his car and the woman he’d offered to drive home from work.
