The Mahoning County OVI Task Force will have increased impaired driving enforcement the evenings of Saturday and Aug 4. The task force will be enforcing a zero tolerance for OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired).
A sobriety checkpoint will be conducted in Mahoning County on Saturday from the hours of 7 to 11 p.m. Another checkpoint will be conducted in Mahoning County on Friday, 10: p.m. until 2 a.m. Locations will be announced later.
The mission of the Mahoning County OVI TF is to keep our roadways safe by reducing alcohol and drug related crashes through public awareness and enforcement. The task force encourages responsible drinking and the use of sober designated drivers.
