Friday, July 27, 2007

BOARDMAN —Brian Fonderlin of Fonderlin Development will be building a playhouse between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the Home Depot on Southern Boulevard.

The playhouse will be displayed at the Parade of Homes and will be raffled off at 6 p.m. Sept. 3 at the Canfield Fair. This is one of three playhouses being built by volunteers from the Home Builders/Remodelers Association of Mahoning Valley to be raffled as fundraisers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Tri-County Chapter; Habitat for Humanity; and the HBA.

Barry Tancer of Reed Family Builders constructed a playhouse that was shown at KidzFest at Stambaugh Stadium on July 22, and is being displayed at the Parade of Homes in Cortland until a winner is drawn Aug. 26.

The third house was built by Andy Profanchik of APCO Construction and is being displayed at the Eastwood Mall, where a winner will be chosen on Aug. 27.

Tickets for the drawings are available at seven First National Bank branches; Kwik Kopy on Mahoning Avenue and state Route 11, Austintown; Parade of Homes; Eastwood Mall; Canfield Fair; and during construction at Home Depot. Tickets are $5 each; seven for $25; and 50 for $100.
