Forum Health trustees approve nurses' deal

YOUNGSTOWN — The Forum Health Board of Trustees have approved tentative agreements with unions representing registered nurses at Northside Health Center, Beeghly Medical Park in Boardman, and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Howland.

The 600 nurses at Northside and Beeghly, comprising the Western Reserve Care System, are represented by the Youngstown General Nurses Association/Ohio Nurses Association.

The YGDNA members are scheduled to vote on the contract on Friday, with sessions at 8 a.m., 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Operating Engineers Local 66 Building, 291 McClurg Road in Boardman, said union president Eric Williams.

The Hillside registered nurses are scheduled to vote on the contract Thursday.

According to a joint hospital/union statement, the proposed work agreement is for one year. Details about the contract are not being released until after the ratification votes, hospital and union officials said.
