Car accident leaves man, woman in hospital

BOARDMAN — A man from Negley was in critical condition Sunday in St. Elizabeth Health Center from injuries suffered in a two-car accident just before 11 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 224 at Tippecanoe Road.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Joseph Endrizzi, no age available, was a passenger in a car driven by Linda Endrizzi, 44, of Negley, who was in stable condition Sunday at the health center. The Endrizzis were traveling westbound on Route 224.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said that Iordanis Filippidis, 59, of Warren, and passenger, Diane Filippidis, also of Warren, were driving east on U.S. Route 224 when their car collided with the Endrizzi vehicle. Both Iordanis Filippidis and Diane Filippidis were treated and released from the health center.

Reports say the Endrizzi car was in the turn lane traveling south onto Tippecanoe Road when it crashed with Filippidis’ vehicle.

OSHP said the accident remains under investigation.
