Man gets sentenced to halfway house for sixth DUI
YOUNGSTOWN — A 47-year-old man has been sentenced to four months in a halfway house, followed by five year’s probation, and fined $800 after his sixth driving under the influence conviction since 2000.
Judge R. Scott Krichbaum of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court imposed the sentence today on Timothy J. Davis, formerly of Ravenna and Akron, who had pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol. Goshen Township Police arrested Davis for his sixth DUI offense on Aug. 2, 2006, on state Route 45.
Judge Krichbaum suspended Davis’ driver’s license for five years, with no possibility of occupational or other driving privileges for the first three years.
