YOUNGSTOWN — The Mahoning County Convention and Visitors Bureau has allocated $10,000 to help draw people to the Summer Festival of the Arts this weekend at Youngstown State University.

The money was spent on advertising the two-day event outside the immediate Youngstown area on an effort to increase public participation in the festival.

The CVB is forming a partnership with the university in helping the festival grow, said Dr. George McCloud, bureau president and special assistant to the president for university advancement at YSU.
