YOUNGSTOWN — The driver of a stolen Chevrolet pickup truck lowered the tailgate and then backed into the sliding glass doors at Sparkle Market, 3623 S. Meridian Road just before 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The driver drove off when he realized that someone witnessed the crime. The witness followed the truck and got the license plate number. The plate, too, turned out to be stolen. The truck was later found abandoned in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Canfield Road. Police suspect the driver was after the ATM located inside Sparkle.
