A summary of police activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:
CANFIELD
Jan. 22
Drug abuse: Police charged a 21-year-old Canfield man with drug abuse after police found in his possession 2 grams of suspected marijuana, a bag of suspected heroin and an assortment of pills. He was arrested in the 200 block of Glenview Road.
AUSTINTOWN
Jan. 22
Criminal damaging: A 1999 Honda vehicle was damaged at a home in the 5000 block of Tulane Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle window was damaged at a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Avenue.
Theft: Cigarettes were taken from Walgreen's, 5501 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's rear window was shattered. The vehicle was in a driveway at a home in the 1000 block of Woodland Trace.
Theft: Four fuel cards were stolen from Pilot Oil truck lot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft: A rear Ohio license plate was stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's side window was broken at a home in the 5000 block of Vassar Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle's side window was damaged at a home in the 2000 block of Innwood Avenue.
Criminal damaging: A sign was damaged by paint at Affordable Hearing, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 23
Theft: A total of 102.75 in gasoline was stolen in four separate thefts at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Drug offense: Police arrested a man in the 6000 block of Mahoning Avenue on charges of possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Burglary: Credit cards and checks were taken and used at a home in the 300 block of Dunbar Street.
Identity theft: An electric bill was opened with the victim's identity at a home in the 30 block of Placid Boulevard.
Burglary: A snow blower was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Celeste Circle.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle door was damaged at Big Lots, 4341 Kirk Road.
Theft: A faceplate and an iPod were stolen from a vehicle parked at a home in the 4000 block of Warwick North.
Burglary: A motorcycle and equipment were stolen from a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.
Jan. 24
Drug offense: Police charged an Austintown man with drug abuse and possession of marijuana after his arrest in the 5700 block of New Road.
Theft: A checkbook, bank card and OxyCodone were stolen from an auto parked at apartments in the 400 block of Westchester Drive.
Theft: A compact-disc receiver was stolen from an auto parked in the 1000 block of County Line Road.
Jan. 25
Criminal damaging: A vehicle mirror was damaged in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.
Theft: Prescription pills were taken from a home in the 3000 block of Staatz Drive.
Jan. 26
Theft: A Sony MTX amplifier was stolen from a vehicle at parked a home in the 5000 block of Willowcrest Drive.
Receiving stolen property: Police arrested and took to the Mahoning County jail a Youngstown man for receiving a stolen passbook and checks from First National Bank, 5632 Mahoning Ave. The items were stolen from Campbell.
Auto theft: Someone stole a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe from Golden Food Mart, 4290 New Road.
Criminal damaging: A woman scratched the finish of a car parked at the Upstairs Lounge, 4500 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: About 100 feet of lawn was damaged at Austintown Baptist Church, 1180 S. Raccoon Road.
Theft: Various items, including DVDs and lipstick, were stolen from Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Jan. 28
Attempted burglary: A suspect entered through an unlocked window but was scared off by the homeowner in the 20 block of South Yorkshire Boulevard.
Criminal damaging: The front window was hit by a rock at Tattoo Odessa, 4249 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Numerous items were stolen at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Niles-Canfield Road.
Arrest: Police charged a man with resisting arrest after he was stopped at Wendy's, 27 S. Raccoon Road, for outstanding warrants.
Theft: Police issued a summons for a man charged with taking items from Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A theft was reported at Conroy's Express, 3670 S. Meridian Road.
Burglary: There was forced entry and items were taken at a home in the 3000 block of Redgate Lane.
Criminal damaging: Damage was reported on the driver's-side window of a vehicle parked in the 5400 block of Baylor Avenue.
