NHL ROUNDUP Sunday's games

Flyers 2, Thrashers 1
ATLANTA -- Jeff Carter scored two goals, including the game-winner with 1:02 remaining, as the Philadelphia Flyers snapped a nine-game losing streak on Sunday. It was also Philadelphia goalie Antero Nittymaki's first win since a 3-2 victory over the New York Islanders on Nov. 30, snapping a personal 15-game skid. The Flyers avoided matching a franchise-record 10 game losing streak, set earlier this season from Dec. 2-27, when Carter scored his sixth goal on a blast from the right circle and over the left-shoulder of Atlanta goalie Kari Lehtonen. Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk, who has four goals in his last three games, opened the scoring with his 27th goal 11:21 into the game.
Red Wings 3, Avalanche 1
DETROIT -- Pavel Datsyuk and Tomas Holmstrom each had a goal and an assist to lift Detroit. Kirk Maltby got the other goal, and Dominik Hasek made 11 saves for Detroit, which snapped its three-game losing streak. Paul Stastny got the Avalanche's goal and Jose Theodore stopped 38 shots. Datsyuk opened the scoring 9:44 into the second period with his 14th goal. Holmstrom swatted a rebound into the net with 5:58 left for his 15th goal. Stastny got a power-play goal when he put in a rebound just 35 seconds later for his 14th of the season.
Ducks 4, Stars 1
ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Andy McDonald scored twice and Teemu Selanne had a goal and an assist to lead Anaheim. Jean-Sebastien Giguere made 30 saves after missing 11 games with a groin strain. The 2003 playoff MVP improved to 12-2-0 over his last 14 starts. Playing for the first time since Jan. 19 because of the All-Star break, the Ducks won for only the third time in 12 games and snapped a four-game losing streak with help from Dustin Penner's 17th goal. Jere Lehtinen scored the Stars' only goal on a penalty shot with 12:14 to play.
Blackhawks 4, Flames 3, OT
CHICAGO -- Denis Arkhipov scoring a power-play goal at 2:53 of overtime to end Chicago's 10-game losing streak. Arkhipov beat Calgary goalie Miikka Kiprusoff with a high screened shot from the right circle. Arkhipov had deflected in Duncan Keith's shot from left wing with 44 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 3 and set up overtime. Chicago won for the first time since Jan. 2 in St. Louis, ending an 0-8-2 slide. The Blackhawks also won for the first time at home since Dec. 26, stopping an 0-6-2 run. James Wisnieski and Jeff Hamilton also scored for the Blackhawks. Daymond Langkow, Kristian Huselius and Alex Tanguay had Calgary's goals.
