Ministry plans revival
FARRELL, Pa. -- New and Living Way Apostolic Church, 927 Lee Ave., will hold a revival Tuesday through Friday. The evangelistic ministry, Apostolic Proclaimers of the Truth, will focus on the theme, "Have We Lost Our Focus?" Guest speakers will be elder Deborah Lewis-Sanders, Pastor Martha Saunders and co-pastor Salley Sanders of Hour of Power; elder Kathy Chester and Bishop Alvin J. McCoy, New and Living Way; Pastor Charles Johnson, Cedar Avenue Church of God, Sharon, Pa.; and evangelist LaJoyce Harris and Pastor Sidney Harris of Tabernacle of God, Ravenna.
On the environment
VILLA MARIA, Pa. -- Villa Maria Education and Spirituality Center will screen "Is God Green?" during a program from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 4. The film is the first in a series that will look at the environment and current religious and spiritual views. The series is dedicated to sharing films that offer an inspirational message and address global and topical issues. The cost is 5. Registration is required. Feast Day dinner
YOUNGSTOWN -- Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., will close out the 110th anniversary with a Feast Day dinner after the 4 p.m. Mass on Feb. 17. The cost for the event, which will take place in the social hall, is 12 for adults and 6 for children 12 and younger. Tickets may be obtained after all Masses and at the rectory. Musical program
WARREN -- St. James Church of God in Christ, 1838 Main St. S.W., will sponsor a "youth explosion" musical program at 6:30 tonight. Participants will be Minister Alton Merrell, Mark Jackson and Company, Monica Phillips and Vision, Carnival, Voice of Testimony, St. Christine Youth Music Ministry, Revelation, Men of Purpose, Purify, Ashtabula, Kimberly Bankston and more. Parish mission
COLUMBIANA -- St. Jude Church, 180 Seventh St., will host a parish mission as part of the conclusion of its 40th-year anniversary celebration. The mission will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 4-8 with the Rev. Wally Hyclak of St. Joseph Christian Center, Cleveland, as the presenter.
On vanishing vocations
YOUNGSTOWN -- A photo exhibit of "Vanishing Vocations of Central Europe" by Janusz Szczotka, Polish artist and photographer, is planned Sunday through Feb. 9 at Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Roman Catholic Church, 421 Covington St., in cooperation with the Polish Arts Club of Youngstown. Exhibit hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekends. A concert and reception for the artist will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the church. Jacek Sobieski, music director at the church, and his daughter, Wanda, will perform Polish folk music. A concert and partial exhibit of the works will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 4 at the Butler Institute of American Art.
Seniors program planned
CAMPBELL -- Mount Moriah Fire Baptized Holiness Church, 84 Bright Ave., will sponsor its 14th annual senior citizen program at 11 a.m. Feb. 3 at St. Mark's Hall, 3560 Logan Way, Youngstown. The cost is 12.95 for adults and 7 for children ages 5 to 9. There will be speakers at the event to honor senior citizens.
Movie to be screened
YOUNGSTOWN -- The movie, "Facing the Giants," will be shown at 5 p.m. Sunday at Four Mile Run Christian Church, 701 N. Four Mile Run Road. Admission is free.
Prayer advance service
WARREN -- New Vision Christian Church Center, 2500 Mahoning Ave., will hold a prayer advance service next weekend. An opening service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, prayer teaching clinic from noon to 1 p.m., general service at 7 p.m. Saturday and closing prayer service at 1 a.m. Sunday.
Prayer seminar
VILLA MARIA, Pa. -- Villa Maria Spirituality and Education Center will offer another in its ongoing series of morning prayer seminars with "The Love of Christ has Gathered Us Together" planned from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 6 at Villa Maria Conference Center. Sister Rose Anne Hanlon of the Villa Maria Retreat Team will explore the place of faith in our lives today. Program participants may stay for lunch, but registration is required.
