NBA ROUNDUP | Friday's other games

Wizards 99, Pistons 96
AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Antawn Jamison scored a season-high 35 points and Gilbert Arenas had 25 to help the Wizards hold off Detroit, maintaining the best record in the Eastern Conference at the midway point of the season. Jamison, who had a pair of three-point plays midway through the fourth quarter, made a 3-pointer with 50.1 seconds left to give the Wizards a 95-94 lead. Detroit's Chauncey Billups and Washington's Caron Butler each made two free throws on the next two possessions and the Pistons called timeout with 15.5 seconds left. They called a play that set up Rasheed Wallace for an open 3-pointer, but he missed it. Butler grabbed the rebound and made two free throws to put Washington ahead by three. After another timeout, Wallace was well covered on a botched play that ended up with him missing a 3-pointer just before the buzzer.
Knicks 116, Heat 96
NEW YORK -- Jamal Crawford connected on 16 straight shots from the field and scored a career-high 52 points, leading New York over Miami. Four nights after allowing 27 consecutive points in an embarrassing loss to a Miami team that was without Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal, the Knicks took control with a run that was nearly as spectacular. Crawford missed his first four shots, then didn't misfire again until 2:16 remained in the third quarter. The Knicks had a 20-point lead by then on their way to snapping a two-game skid. Crawford finished 20-of-30 from the field and 8-for-10 from 3-point range.
Spurs 112, Grizzlies 96
SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan had 26 points, 13 rebounds and a career-best nine blocked shots, leading San Antonio past Memphis. Tony Parker added 18 points and Manu Ginobili 17 for the Spurs, who won for the eighth time in 11 games. Michael Finley had 15 points and Brent Barry 13. Hakim Warrick scored 27 points to pace the Grizzlies, who played without center Pau Gasol (strained left hamstring) and dropped to 11-33.
Hawks 93, Magic 90
ORLANDO, Fla. -- Joe Johnson scored a season-high 39 points, Josh Smith had 24 and Atlanta rallied from a 14-point second-half deficit to beat Orlando. Johnson scored 26 points in the second half, when Atlanta shot 58 percent to overtake the Magic. Dwight Howard led Orlando with 19 points, but he missed six free throws in the fourth quarter. Tony Battie added a season-high 14 points.
Raptors 96, Celtics 90
TORONTO -- Chris Bosh had 26 points and Anthony Parker added a career-high 23 to lead Toronto past injury-riddled Boston. The Raptors went on a 19-0 fourth-quarter run as the Celtics went more than six minutes without scoring. The Atlantic-Division leading Raptors reached .500 (22-22) this late in the season for the first time since Feb. 2003.
Hornets 88, Kings 84
NEW ORLEANS -- Desmond Mason scored 24 points and Bobby Jackson added 15 against his former team to help New Orleans hold off Sacramento. Devin Brown, filling in for injured guard Chris Paul, scored 14 for New Orleans. He hit a 3-pointer as the shot clock ticked down and a clutch free throw, both in the final 30 seconds, to thwart a Mike Bibby-led charge by the Kings.
Suns 98, Bucks 90
MILWAUKEE -- Raja Bell scored 27 points to lead all five Phoenix starters in double figures, and the Suns set a franchise record with their 16th straight victory. Shawn Marion grabbed 23 rebounds and Steve Nash had 16 assists for the seemingly unstoppable Suns, who have won 32 of 34 overall. They had a 15-game winning streak earlier this season, a run that ended with a 144-139 overtime loss to Washington on Dec. 22.
Rockets 99, Trail Blazers 69
HOUSTON -- Tracy McGrady scored 17 of his 28 points in the decisive third quarter and the Rockets beat the misfiring Trail Blazers. McGrady, named to his seventh All-Star Game on Thursday, had 11 points at halftime, then hit 7 of 10 shots after halftime to help the Rockets pull away for their second straight victory after three consecutive losses.
Jazz 116, Nuggets 111
SALT LAKE CITY -- Carlos Boozer had 25 points and 19 rebounds, and the Jazz beat Denver to hand the Nuggets their first loss since Carmelo Anthony rejoined the team. The top two clubs in the Northwest Division both shot better than 50 percent, but the Jazz were stronger in the fourth quarter. They scored the final six points, finally shutting down Allen Iverson and Anthony in the last minute. Iverson had 33 points and six assists, and Anthony scored 37 points in his third game back since serving a 15-game suspension.
