Trumbull County commissioners recently signed a consent decree, a legal document, to build sewers within the next 15 years in the following areas:
Lakeshore neighborhood, Bazetta Township; cost: 1.5 million; homes: 70.
Southwest Bazetta Township (Elm Road, Johnson Plank and Bazetta Road); 1.65 million; homes: 30.
State Route 305-McCleary Jacoby Road, Bazetta Township; 2.2 million; homes: 160.
State Route 193, Liberty and Vienna Townships; Tibbetts-Wick Road north to the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport; 8 million (needed to sewer Vienna Center); homes: 400.
Kermont Heights, Hubbard Township; cost: 2.8 million (bedrock for this hilltop area makes septics ineffective); homes: 140.
Kinsman Township; cost: 8 million (Kinsman Center, as well as many homes with small lot sizes in an unincorporated area stretching westward to Farmdale); homes: 350.
Brookfield Center; cost 4.5 million; homes: 120.
Scott Street, Newton Township; 6.5 million; homes: 270.
Meadowbrook area, Warren Township; 9 million; homes: 564.
Maplewood Park, Hubbard Township; cost estimate of around 11 million; homes: 625.
Areas laid out in the 1920s not in the consent decree but needing sewers: McKinley Heights, Hilltop, Heaton Chute in Weathersfield; Bolindale, Morgandale in Howland.
