Hiram 82, Allegheny 81
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Chuck Williams (Lakeview) sank the go-ahead basket in the final seconds as Hiram overcame a 28-point deficit in a North Coast Athletic Conference game. The 28-point comeback was the largest in school history. Allegheny (7-10, 3-6) led 53-25 with 1:44 remaining in the first half, but Hiram (6-12, 5-4) got to within 81-80 on a 3-pointer by Mike McDevitt (Lisbon) with 52 seconds to play. After Allegheny missed a shot Williams connected with :05 remaining and the Gators' Casey McCloskey misfired on a 3-pointer at the buzzer. Hiram was led by McDevitt with a season-high 23 points. Williams and Kevin Shaffer each scored 15. The Gators were led by Ben Torsney with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Ryan Hollihan and Jimmy Savage each scored 13 points and McCloskey added 11.
Bethany 107, Saint Vincent 105, 2 OT
LATROBE, Pa. -- Brody Jackson scored a career-high 33 points, made two free throws with four seconds remaining in regulation to tie the score, then made a 3-pointer with 25 seconds to go in the second overtime to win it. James Wallace had 28 points for the Bison (13-5), while Chris Stephens scored 15. Marcus Adams and Ryan Besancon had 10 points each. Saint Vincent (10-7) was led by Javille Brooks with 34 points, Marc Duncan with 21 and Roscoe Biggers with 19. Jonny Hasson finished with 14 points.
Grove City 74,Washington & amp; Jefferson 59
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Ryan Gerber had 16 points and Craig Hallman 15 points and 10 rebounds as Grove City won its fifth straight game. The Wolverines (10-8, 3-3 Presidents' Athletic Conference) had also won 13 straight at home against the Presidents (6-12, 3-3). Shawn Carr added 13 points for Grove City, which led 35-34 at halftime. W & amp;J was led by Jon Koch, who scored 14 points but was just 4-of-11 shooting. Brandon Studer added 13 points, while Waheb Owolabi and Josip Lucic-Jozak scored 10 each.
Baldwin-Wallace 84, Mount Union 66
ALLIANCE -- Dennis Santiago scored 20 points on 6-of-10 shooting to lead Baldwin-Wallace (12-6, 7-4) in an Ohio Athletic Conference game. Tori Davis added 18 points and seven rebounds, and Andrew Bene scored 17 points for the Yellow Jackets, who shot 59.6 percent from the field (31-of-52). Chris Switzer led Mount Union (8-10, 3-8) with 16 points, while Stu Anglum scored 14 and Jay Mathis 10. B-W shot 65.2 percent (15-of-23) in the second half to pull away from a 39-33 halftime lead.
Indiana (Pa.) 76, Slippery Rock 69
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Kenny Smith tossed in 20 points for The Rock (4-14, 1-2) in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West game. Jamar Scales and Glenn Reepmeyer added 14 points each for Slippery Rock, which lost despite shooting 51.9 percent from the field (28-of-54) and committing just 10 turnovers. Scales also had eight rebounds and Reepmeyer had seven, and Matt Schaefer finished with nine assists. IUP (4-11, 2-1) was led by Jordan Shaw and Avery Oliver with 18 points each. Gerald Brooks added 12.
WOMEN
Washington & amp; Jefferson 63,Grove City 51
GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Brittany Anderson had 14 points and eight rebounds for Grove City. The Wolverines (4-13, 1-5 PAC) were tied at 27 at halftime, but shot just 29.2 percent (7-of-24) in the second half. Elyse Bogusz led Grove City with 16 points, and Rachel McCoy scored 10. Washington & amp; Jefferson (12-6, 5-1) was led by Kennan Killeen with 14 points, Lindsey Hyre with 12 and Sarah Hunt with 10. Emily Hays had 10 rebounds.
Saint Vincent 80, Bethany 56
LATROBE, Pa. -- Bethany fell behind 26-9 in the first 10 minutes of the game and couldn't catch up. Courtney Irwin scored 19 points for the Bison (6-11), while Mandi Swiger had 15 points and 12 rebounds. Saint Vincent (6-9) was led by Janelle Reed and Laura Klimchock with 20 points apiece, while Kristin Darrow added 12 and Caryn Glassbrenner 10. Reed also had seven rebounds and seven assists.
Wooster 77, Allegheny 71, OT
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Beth Besancon Sidle scored 24 points, and Carly Loehrke added 18 points and nine rebounds, as Wooster (9-8, 4-4) won a North Coast Athletic Conference game. Winnie Adrien added 14 points and Kym Wenz scored 10 for the Scots, who trailed 67-63 in the overtime before finishing the game with s 14-4 run. Allegheny (12-5, 6-3) was led by Katie Kestler with 22 points, while Stephanie Wolf finished with 13 points on 9-of-10 shooting at the foul line. Jennifer Latronica had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Kenyon 77, Hiram 58
HIRAM -- Cassie Bedard had 26 points and eight rebounds for Hiram, but little help. Tania Carman scored 12 points for the Terriers (5-12, 1-8 NCAC), who committed 22 turnovers and trailed 44-26 at halftime. Anne Dugan scored 19 points and Alisha Moreno added 18 points and seven for Kenyon (8-10, 5-4). Hilary Gowins scored 11 points.
Baldwin-Wallace 68, Mount Union 52
BEREA -- Amanda Mondrach scored a season-high 20 points for Baldwin-Wallace, ranked No. 15 by d3hoops.com. Jessica Butzer added 10 points for the Yellow Jackets (15-3, 9-2 Ohio Athletic Conference), who have defeated Mount Union in nine straight meetings dating to the 2002-03 season. Mount Union (9-9, 5-6) was led by Alicia Williams with 11 points.
Slippery Rock 62, Indiana (Pa.) 59
SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. -- Nikki Presto scored 16 points as Slippery Rock held on in a PSAC-West game. The Rock (8-9, 2-1) held a 35-19 lead at halftime and by as many as 20 points in the second half. IUP rallied for a 57-56 lead on a layup by Lauren Fisher with 1:09 left in the game, but Presto sank a pair of foul shots with 0:51 to go, and after a steal by Jessica Schake, Dana Stewart made a layup with 0:18 remaining to make it 60-57. Stewart added two free throws with one second left. IUP (12-6, 2-1) got 12 points from Staci Heberling and 11 from Katie Glaws.
