Walsh 82, Urbana 77, OT
URBANA -- Corey Jones scored 21 points to lead Walsh, ranked No. 8 in NAIA Division II. Brandon Weems and Derek Chappell added 14 points each for the Cavaliers (19-3, 10-1 American Mideast Conference North). Adam Lesch finished with 12 points, and Weems had 10 rebounds. Urbana was led by Allen Drake's 17 points and nine rebounds. Matt Poole had 16 points and 15 rebounds for the Blue Knights, who tied the score at 88 following regulation.
Shawnee State 69, Malone 64
PORTSMOUTH -- Shane Humphrey had 22 points and seven rebounds for Malone (12-10, 2-9 AMC North), which shot just 32 percent in the second half. The Pioneers led 34-31 at halftime but made only 9-of-28 shots after the break. Linc Rottman added 13 points for Malone, while Ben Carver scored 12. Josh Reed led Shawnee State (13-9, 7-4) with 21 points. Aaron Davis added 17 and Justin Brinkman scored 11.
WOMEN
Walsh 66, Urbana 22
URBANA -- Ingrid Brainard led the Cavaliers with 15 points and five assists, while Damoniq'e Askew added 13 points. Urbana was led by Sam Riley with 19 points and five assists. Brittany Runner had 14 rebounds and 13 points.
Shawnee State 68, Malone 50
PORTSMOUTH -- Jennifer Grandy led Shawnee State (14-8, 7-4 AMC North) with a career-high 18 points. Kelly Wagner added 14 points and Mallory Albers scored 11. For Malone (13-10, 5-6), Nikki Parson had 17 points and 13 rebounds, and Nicki Sisson added 14 points. The Pioneers shot just 29 percent (17-of-59) and committed 24 turnovers.
