Antique and collectible auction to be held Feb. 3

Proceeds from the event will benefit those with disabilities or special needs.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Junior Group of Goodwill will hold its 15th annual antique and collectible auction on Feb. 3 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Goodwill's job training and employment services for people with disabilities and other special needs in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Mercer and Lawrence counties.
The auction will include furniture, dolls, vintage clothing, glassware, vintage toys and other items.
Admission is 2 and doors will open at 10 a.m. for a preview of the items. Bidding will begin at 11.
A sale of collectible jewelry from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and a 50-50 raffle will also be held.
Preview party
As a prelude to the annual auction, there will be a patron party from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at the auditorium. Festivities will include a collectible jewelry sale, an auction of new items donated by area merchants, a basket raffle, a silent auction of collectibles, a Chinese auction, 50-50 raffle and furniture preview.
Hors d'oeuvres will be served, and a cash bar will be available.
Tickets for the party are 20 per person with a 7 tax deduction, and will be good for admission to Saturday's auction. They must be purchased in advance by Monday at the Goodwill office, from a Junior Group member, from Goodwill trustees or at a Goodwill store in Liberty, Struthers, Warren, Salem, Calcutta, Hermitage, Pa., or New Castle, Pa.
Tickets may also be purchased by sending a check, payable to Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, Ticket Chairman, 2747 Belmont Ave., Youngstown, OH 44505. No tickets for the party will be sold at the door.
