Aut Mori Grotto 2007 officers installed at January meeting
BOARDMAN -- A highlight of the Jan. 6 meeting of Aut Mori Grotto was the installation of a slate of officer who will head the organization during 2007.
Carmen W. Pompeii was seated as the monarch, and inducted as his elected and appointed associate officers were: Joe Humansky, chief justice; Robert Edwards, master of ceremonies; Ray Nevel, treasurer; Ron Craig, secretary; Jay Kocak, venerable prophet; Gary Lippert, orator; Gary Farrant, marshal; Dean Ferris, chaplain; Sam Stambaugh, captain of the guard; and J.J. LaSasso and Gordy Frame, sentinels.
Installed to the board of trustees were T.J. Perren, Jack Ackworth and Bill Nagy, and installed to the Ottorg Board were Sean Craig, Evan Butler and Ken Matteson.
Pompeii, who is known as Chuck, is a member of Argus Masonic Lodge 545, and is an active member of the Aut Mori Grotto Clown Unit, where he is known as "Loudmouth." He is the industrial hygiene manager for Delphi Packard Electric Systems. He and his wife, Debra, live in Struthers. They have two adult children and a grandson.
The Grotto is an international organization of master Masons that contributes to cerebral palsy and dentistry for physically challenged children through age 17. The local chapter meets the first Wednesday of each month. For information on becoming a member of the organization, call (330) 629-9679.
