Beware of bumps in lines


AUSTINTOWN — A woman was the victim of pickpockets working together at the Pilot on North Canfield Niles Road, township police report.

The 58-year-old Oklahoma woman told police she was waiting at the cash register Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. when a man tried to cut in front of her. He continued to bump into her.

When she reached into her jacket pocket afterward, her money was missing.

The store’s surveillance video later showed that a second man stole the money while the first one bumped into her. They got $130.

The first man was described as black, 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighing 350 pounds. The second man was black, the same height, and weighed around 200 pounds.
