Jan. 13
Auto theft: A woman in the 20 block of Orchard Avenue reported her vehicle stolen.
Drug paraphernalia: When they investigated a suspicious vehicle in Harding Park, off state Route 616, police issued a summons to an 18-year-old Hubbard man charging him with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jan. 14
Criminal mischief: A Waugh Drive woman discovered someone used toilet paper to vandalize her vehicle and trees on her property.

Theft: A Hubbard man reported the theft of his wallet while at Barkley's, 548 W. Liberty St.
Jan. 16
Damage: Someone tossed a large amount of mud and damaged the rear of a garage in the 40 block of Mackey Street.
Theft: Painkiller tablets were stolen from the pharmacy at Rite Aid Pharmacy, 147 W. Liberty St.
Jan. 17
Drug paraphernalia: A man told police he found two suspected crack pipes while cleaning an apartment in the 40 block of Hillview Drive.

Jan. 12
Theft: An employee at The Rental Corral, 1530 Gypsy Lane, reported a 34-year-old Youngstown man rented and failed to return a 1,000 cut-off saw and a 14-inch blade.
Assaults: A worker at Belmont Pines Hospital, 615 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, alleged a 13-year-old patient pushed her down, injuring her elbow and back; a second employee told police that another patient, also 13, struck the victim in the chest with her elbow.
Assault: An 11-year-old pupil at W.S. Guy Middle School, 4115 Shady Road, reported another pupil, 11, tossed the victim to the floor, striking and shoving her several times. The girl had scrapes and bruises.
Breaking and entering/theft: A man in the 1600 block of Liberty Avenue discovered a shed had been broken into and that two cellular phones were missing from his residence.
Assault: A Belmont Pines employee told officers that a 16-year-old patient struck him above the left eye as he intervened when the teen punched another worker. No charges had been filed at the time of the report.
Jan. 13
Drug paraphernalia: Police made two arrests near state Route 193 and Gypsy Lane after saying they found in a vehicle two suspected crack pipes, two scales and other suspicious items. No information was provided about the suspects.
Theft: After responding to a disturbance at Youngstown Crab Co., 3917 Belmont Ave., police were told that four people had left without paying their food bills. The loss came to about 139.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Warren woman said her 27-year-old former boyfriend took her 2003 Honda Civic while she was at Station Square Restaurant, 4250 Belmont Ave.
Jan. 14
Arrest: Hartford police turned a 23-year-old Hartford man over to Liberty authorities. He was wanted on a warrant charging him with theft.
Drugs: A 46-year-old Vienna man was taken into custody at a Shell True North gas station, 3990 Belmont Ave., on charges of drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under suspension. The man had two bags containing a white powder, a suspected crack pipe and other suspected paraphernalia, police said.
Jan. 15
Criminal mischief: Eggs were thrown at a home in the 1800 block of Lucretia Drive.
Stolen property: A vehicle registration check on Belmont Avenue led to the arrest of a Youngstown man, 53, on a felony charge of receiving stolen property. The 1994 Ford Aerostar he was driving had been stolen in Youngstown, authorities said.
Stolen property: Officers arrested a 50-year-old Madison, Wis., man at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., after determining a 2000 Saturn had been stolen in Wisconsin. He was charged with receiving stolen property.
Theft: An undetermined number of items were stolen from Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

Burglary: Someone pried open doors to two residences in the 200 block of Colonial Drive, gaining entry to one. Nothing appeared to be missing, however.
Theft: A man reported a 300 AM/FM/compact-disc player missing from his car at Cleveland Auto Wrecking Co. Inc., 2700 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
Criminal damaging: A man on Belmont Avenue noticed a company-owned truck he was using had a broken driver's-side window. Damage came to 150.
Arrests: An East Palestine man, 21, faced felony charges of disrupting public services, breaking and entering, vandalism and possession of criminal tools after being accused of entering an area around a cellular phone tower near the Tallyho-tel and tampering with some wiring. The man had wire cutters and other tools, officers said. A 25-year-old woman, also of East Palestine, was taken into custody on a charge of possession of drug-abuse instruments.

Jan. 13
Misuse of a credit card: A man in the 300 block of Iowa Avenue accessed his bank account and noticed someone had used his debit card to remove 981.
Breaking and entering: An employee at the Wonder Bar, 100 W. Liberty St., came to work and discovered a side door open and an undisclosed amount of money missing.
Jan. 14
Criminal damaging: A rock was tossed through a window at Benchmark Mortgage, 920 N. State St., resulting in about 500 worth of damage.
Jan. 15
Recovered property: A Canfield woman's purse was found after she reported it stolen at Jib Jab Hot Dog Shoppe, 313 S. State St.
Theft: A Girard man accused his girlfriend of taking 1,000 from his pants pocket.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke and crawled through a rear window at Amex Dies Inc., 932 N. State St. Stolen was a toolbox with tools.
Jan. 17
Breaking and entering: Someone entered TG's Pizza, 400 N. State St. A stereo and various meat products were recovered nearby.
