Buckeyes' Smith in Boardman to dine with Eddie DeBartolo Jr.

BOARDMAN -- Patrons at the Caffe Capri restaurant were treated to a celebrity sighting on Thursday as Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith dined with Eddie DeBartolo Jr.
The Heisman Trophy winner, a senior, was a guest of DeBartolo, the former owner of the San Francisco 49ers whose team won five Super Bowl championships.
The Rooney family that owns the Steelers is the only other NFL family with five Lombardi trophies.
In 1999, DeBartolo, who grew up in Boardman and now resides in Tampa, Fla., turned the 49ers over to his sister, Denise DeBartolo York of Canfield.
In November, DeBartolo Sports and Entertainment LLC, merged with Cindrich & amp; Co. to create a stronger athlete management and hospitality company.
In 1976, Cindrich & amp; Co. was founded by Ralph Cindrich, a former NFL player with the New England Patriots (1972) and Houston Oilers (1973-75).
DSE, of which DeBartolo is chairman, has regional offices in Pittsburgh, Columbus and Los Angeles. Chuck Saulino, founder of Allsports, is DSE president.
Monday, Smith's Buckeyes (12-1) lost to Florida (13-1), 41-14, in the BCS Championship game in Glendale, Ariz.
A Cleveland resident, Smith has graduated from Ohio State with a degree in communications and should be a first-day selection in April's NFL Draft.
