Teen arrested for punching teacher

YOUNGSTOWN — A 13-year-old boy at Odyssey School of Possibilities on Commonwealth Avenue was arrested Tuesday after a teacher said he pushed and punched her, reports show.

The Coronado Avenue boy demanded a tray from the teacher, who said she would get him one as soon as he sat down.

The boy slapped her hands away from the tray and then punched her with a closed fist when she tried to take his coat, police said.

The boy was taken to the Martin P. Juvenile Justice Center to face an assault charge.
