South Side house hit with gunfire

YOUNGSTOWN — A house in the 200 block of East Auburndale Avenue on the South Side was fired upon early today, with bullets hitting the porch, dining room window, dining room wall and upstairs bedroom, police said.

Thirty casings and two live rounds were collected from the street and marked as evidence.

The 51-year-old resident told police that the gunfire woke her around 5:20 a.m. and she got down on the floor. No motive was given for the shooting.
