North Road traffic mess to end this year

HOWLAND — Township trustees have assured that two-way traffic on North Road will resume by year’s end.

The northbound lane was closed to traffic in November during a $3.65 million upgrading project between East Market Street and U.S. Route 422.

The projects had brought complaints from those using the road because of the construction mess and numerous large potholes. Michael Sliwinski, project manager for the county engineer’s office, told trustees today a new timeline calls for two-way traffic to resume by the end of this year.
