State will buy 184 acres in Trumbull for wetlands

COLUMBUS — The state signed off on funding to purchase 184 acres in Trumbull County as part of an effort to enhance wetland habitat.

The State Controlling Board, without comment, approved an increase in appropriations requested by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources’ Division of Wildlife for the Bloomfield Township project.

State documents say the site is on the Grand River, with more than a mile of the waterway running through it.
