"My Life As a Child" (7 p.m., TLC): For this six-part documentary series, producers provided 20 kids from ages 7 to 12 with cameras and asked them to keep video diaries of their lives. The results give an uncensored glimpse into youth culture and the challenges they face from their own perspectives.
"Women on Death Row 2" (9 p.m., WE): Christa Pike, the infamous Job Corps murderess from Tennessee, is profiled.
"Heroes" (9 p.m., NBC): The season's most buzzed-laden new show continues its sweeps-month hot streak with an episode that has Matt and Ted traveling to Texas and taking extreme measures to coax some answers out of H.R.G. about his mysterious past. We're thinking someone's going to die, but will it be someone we actually care about?
"Building a Dream: The Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy" (10 p.m., ABC): The talk-show host recounts her emotional five-year quest to create a 40 million boarding school intended to educate and empower disadvantaged girls in South Africa. Viewers also will be introduced to the facility's first students.
"The Black Donnellys" (10 p.m., NBC): Having benched the disappointing "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," NBC is hoping "The Black Donnellys" can pick up the ratings slack. It's a gritty period drama from Oscar winner Paul Haggis and Bobby Moresco ("Crash") that follows the exploits of four tight-knit Irish brothers who become involved in organized crime.
"Sting: Songs From the Labyrinth" (10 p.m., PBS): The man who soon will be touring with his Police band mates again celebrates the music of Elizabethan songwriter John Dowland (1563-1626). The "Great Performances" special was filmed at Lake House, Sting's 16th-century manor home in Wiltshire and in the ancient gardens of Il Palagio, his place in Italy.
