Travel planning: See www.allegiantair.com to book flights, or buy in person at the Allegiant ticket counter at the local airport, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday and Friday; 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday.Valley departures, arrivals: Flights operated by Allegiant leave the airport on Mondays and Fridays at 11:10 a.m. bound for Orlando/Sanford. They arrive in Sanford at 1:30 p.m. Flights returning from Sanford leave Florida at 8:20 a.m. and return to the Vienna airport at 10:35 a.m.
Allegiant's growth: Allegiant Air began providing low-cost air travel between Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport and the Sanford, Fla., International Airport in May 2006. Last year, it doubled the number of passengers using its flights nationwide.
