Theft victim will get permanent ramp
WARREN -- A West Side woman whose wheelchair ramps were stolen from in front of her home in January will receive a free permanent ramp, Mayor Michael J. O'Brien said Friday.
O'Brien purchased 8-foot-long temporary ramps for 63-year-old Helen Tsilimos, a triple amputee, after thieves took the ramps she and her husband, John, 67, had purchased.
O'Brien said the Trumbull Career & amp; Technical Center and Trumbull County Youth Built, an agency that teaches construction, will build the permanent ramp along with the help of two city employees.
After the theft, the mayor said he would look into the possibility of having a permanent ramp built for the couple.
