YSU defeats Towson State and future NFL running back Dave Meggett, who was to be a one-man wrecking crew.November 24, 1990 -- Central Florida 20, YSU 18. A last-second field goal by Franco Grilla knocks the Penguins out of the playoffs after an 11-0 regular season.November 30, 1991 -- YSU 17, Villanova 14. Jeff Wilkins' field goal into the wind, set up by Herb Williams' catch, gives the Penguins a playoff victory.December 14, 1991 -- YSU 10, Samford 0.
