FARRELL, Pa. -- A fund has been set up at First National Bank for anyone wanting to contribute to a reward for information about the disappearance of a Farrell mother.
Donations can be made at any First National Bank location to the Shelly Misinay Reward Fund, said Becky Swartz, a family friend.
Misinay, a 41-year-old stay-at-home mother of two, has not been seen since the early morning of Feb. 14, according to police.
Southwest Mercer County Regional Police Detective Sgt. Ron Preston said police have very little to go on in the investigation.
"We are just grasping at straws here now," Preston said Friday.
He said they are still waiting for the Pennsylvania State Police to report on anything helpful that may be on Misinay's computer, which was taken to an Erie expert Wednesday.
Preston said police plan to meet with the Mercer County district attorney's office to update them on the case and see if that office can offer any assistance.
Background
Misinay was last seen by her husband, Frank, about 4:30 a.m. Feb. 14 when the two had a dispute and he went to bed, police said. Frank Misinay was awakened by his two children, ages 4 and 6, sometime between 9 and 9:30 a.m. and his wife was gone.
Police said she did not take a vehicle and was believed to have been wearing a cream-colored winter coat with a fur collar and sweat pants. She is 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 150 pounds and wears black-rimmed eyeglasses.
Anyone with information about Misinay or her disappearance is asked to call police at (724) 983-2720.
