Ex-court worker appeals theft-in-office conviction

WARREN — A former Warren Municipal Court employee convicted of stealing money from the court is appealing her sentencing.

Atty. Michael Rossi of Warren filed in the 11th District Court of Appeals on behalf of Judith M. DeJacimo today. She was convicted of theft in office.   DeJacimo, 50, of Glen Drive, Warren, was sentenced to 18 months in prison Jan. 25 for taking at least $48,000 from her former employer while she worked there as a deputy clerk.

In her plea agreement, prosecutors agreed not to oppose her release from jail after serving 60 days. She is in the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville. The document filed with the appeals court did not indicate the grounds on which the appeal would be based.
