Trumbull County prepares finances

WARREN — Trumbull County commissioners plan to approve a $42.5 million budget next week,   an increase of about 3.6 percent over last year’s $40.9 million budget.

Though the $42 million would be the second straight year of   record-setting budgets, the plan would allow the county to maintain a “cushion” amount of about $1.5 million, said county Auditor Adrian Biviano.

“That’s nothing,” Biviano said of the proposed increase over last year, saying the hike would be about the same as the current rate of inflation.
