Here's Trumbull County's '07 road improvements


WARREN — Trumbull County commissioners have approved a contract with Diorio Paving Inc., Girard, for $1,231,409 for the 2007 county road improvement program.

The project includes resurfacing, berm reconstruction, drainage, guardrail improvements, pavement markings and signs. The work will be done in April, May and June.

About 69 percent of the money will come from a $900,000 state grant with the rest coming from county engineer funds. The work areas will be:

• 2 miles of North Road in Howland and Warren just north of West Market Street.

• 0.3 mile of East Market in Howland and Warren from North Road east to the state Route 82 overpass.

• 2.61 miles of Warren-Sharon Road in Howland and Vienna townships from state Route 46 east to Ridge Road.

• 1 mile of West Market   in Warren Township from Route 82 east to the Warren city limits.

• 0.22 mile of Genesee Avenue in Howland from the Warren city limits north to Elm Road.

• 0.9 mile of Salt Springs Road in Weathersfield Township from Warren Austintown Road east to the Niles city limits.

• 1.2 miles of Tibbetts Wick Road in Liberty Township from state Route 193 east to Applegate-Sodom Road.

• 0.8 mile of Dietz East/Griswold Street Extension in Howland and Warren city from Griswold Street north and east to Larchmont Avenue.

• 1.4 miles of Warren Sharon Road in Vienna Township from state Route 193 east to Sodom-Hutchings Road.
