TAMPA, Fla. -- Tina Charles scored a career-high 34 points and grabbed 17 rebounds Tuesday night, leading Connecticut to its 11th consecutive victory. Charde Houston had 18 points and 10 rebounds as the Huskies (25-2, 14-0) clinched their first outright Big East regular-season title in three years and remained unbeaten through 14 league games for the sixth time in the program's history. USF (18-9, 8-6) lost for the fourth time in five games.
No. 18 Bowling Green 89, Kent St. 66
KENT -- Reserve Amber Flynn scored 21 points to lead six Bowling Green players in double figures for the Falcons. Bowling Green has won 18 straight games and stretched its school- and conference-record winning streak to 39 against Mid-American Conference teams. Kate Achter scored 14 points and Carin Horne had 13 points and seven rebounds for Bowling Green (25-2, 14-0). Ali Mann and Lindsey Goldsberry added 12 apiece, and Jasmine McCall 10. Kristin Peoples scored 23 points for the Flashes (13-12, 9-5), and accounted for most of Kent State's free-throw shooting, going 12-for-16 at the line, where the team was 17-for-25.
Seton Hall 63, No. 19 Marquette 58
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. -- Ela Mukosiej scored 16 points and Monique Blake added 13 as Seton Hall rallied from an eight-point halftime deficit. Nicole Emery hit a 3-pointer to cap an 11-0 Seton Hall run early in the second half that gave the Pirates (17-9, 8-6 Big East) a 35-34 lead with 15 minutes left. Krystal Ellis scored 25 points for Marquette (22-5, 10-4).
No. 21 Rutgers 69, Providence 34
PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Matee Ajavon had 23 points, six rebounds and four assists Tuesday night to lead Rutgers. Epiphanny Prince snapped out of a minor slump with 14 points for Rutgers (18-7, 11-3 Big East), which has won four straight and 13 of its last 15. Chelsea Marandola scored 14 points to lead Providence (13-14, 3-11).
No. 23 Louisville 91, St. John's 62
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Angel McCoughtry scored 21 points, 17 in the second half, for Louisville. Louisville (23-5, 9-5 Big East) trailed 41-40 early in the second half, but outscored the Red Storm 30-12 to lead 71-52 with 7:56 remaining. McCoughtry had eight points during the run and Helen Johnson seven. Monique McLean scored 17 points for the Red Storm (8-17, 4-10).
Iowa State 64, No. 25 Nebraska 53
AMES, Iowa -- Megan Ronhovde, playing her final home game, scored eight of her 15 points during a game-turning run that carried Iowa State. Lyndsey Medders, also a senior, added 13 points, nine rebounds and eight assists for the Cyclones (20-7, 8-6 Big 12), who used an 18-2 run to win for the fourth time in five games and increased their chances of landing an at-large berth in the NCAA tournament. Nebraska (21-7, 9-5) lost its third straight, all to unranked teams.
