Quarterback Brady sayshe is glad to be a dad
NEW YORK -- Tom Brady is happy about becoming a father.
"Tom and his family are excited about the pregnancy, and want to thank everyone who has shown support, and particularly for their consideration of Tom's privacy," Brady's agent, Don Yee, told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
It was the first comment from Brady's camp since it was disclosed that actress Bridget Moynahan, the former girlfriend of New England's three-time Super Bowl winning quarterback, is three months pregnant. Her publicist, Christina Papado-poulous, disclosed the pregnancy Monday and said Brady is the father.
Brady and Moynahan split up late last year after a three-year relationship. Brady, a two-time Super Bowl MVP, has since been seen with lingerie model Gisele Bundchen, and media outlets have reported the two are dating.
Stallone's plane searched
SYDNEY, Australia -- Customs officials searched Sylvester Stallone's hotel room and private jet three days after seizing banned substances from the muscle-bound actor's entourage as he arrived for a promotional tour, a news report said.
Stallone's plane was searched on the tarmac at Sydney airport Monday, Sydney's The Daily Telegraph reported, without citing sources.
Officials are still examining substances collected from Stallone's entourage to determine whether further action would be taken, the newspaper said.
"When leaving Australia they checked his room, his limo and his plane. They didn't find anything," Stallone's Los Angeles-based publicist, Paul Bloch, said Tuesday. Bloch said Stallone, 60, arrived in Australia by commercial plane Friday to promote his latest film, "Rocky Balboa," and officials examined his luggage.
"There was a minor misunderstanding," Bloch said. "They were doing their job. He didn't know the rules in Australia."
Hudson to celebratesuccess at her church
CHICAGO -- For Oscar nominee Jennifer Hudson, there was no question where she'd celebrate her success in the week leading up to the Academy Awards -- at her family's church.
"I don't do clubs. I don't drink. I don't smoke," Hudson told a boisterous crowd at Progressive Baptist Church on the city's South Side on Monday night. "I'm not having no club party; I better have a praise party."
Hudson, 25, won a Golden Globe Award last month and is among the nominees for best supporting actress at the Oscars on Sunday for her role in "Dreamgirls."
