By the numbers
The state has provided most of the funding for nearly 913 million in projects in Mahoning and surrounding counties, says a report compiled by the Ohio School Facilities Commission. The state's share of the total costs averaged 79 percent.
Mahoning County: 343 million.
Trumbull County: 310 million.
Columbiana County: 127 million.
Portage County: 133 million.
