Electrical problem thought to be cause of fire

HANOVERTON -- An electrical problem is believed to be the cause of a fire that destroyed the mobile home of Kevin Troyer on Gavers Road in Hanover Township.
Township firefighters were called to the scene around 4 p.m. Saturday and said the trailer was fully engulfed in flames. Troyer managed to escape and two of his dogs were rescued but a third perished, firefighters said.
The trailer is a total loss, and Troyer had no insurance. He is being assisted by the American Red Cross, firefighters said. A second house-type roof had been built over the trailer, which hampered efforts to put out the blaze, firefighters said.
