JENNIFER AHLSWEDESHAWN CHERNUSHIN
YOUNGSTOWN -- Jennifer Ahlswede, a daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Ahlswede, 116 Forest Garden Drive, Boardman, and Shawn Chernushin, a son of Alan and Linda Chernushin, 1508 Tamarisk Trail, Poland, were united in marriage Dec. 30 at St. Dominic Church.
The Rev. William Rock officiated at the 2 p.m. wedding ceremony, and the couple accepted congratulations during a reception held at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman.
After a wedding trip to Las Vegas, they live in Charlotte, N.C.
Fashioned of white silk, the bride's strapless A-line gown was detailed with embroidery and beading, and she also wore a jeweled mantilla.
Black gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Laura Ahlswede, and the bridesmaids, Lisa Kelso, her sister; Kara Riccitelli, the groom's sister; Sara Neal; and Lindsay Daprile. The bride's niece, Madison Kelso, and the groom's niece, Karlynn Riccitelli, were flower girls.
Best man was the groom's brother-in-law, Donald Riccitelli, and groomsmen were Justin Staub, Jeff Chizmar, Dave Drabison, Tony Ghioldi, Dennis Golubic, Scott Katz and the bride's brother-in-law, Charles Kelso.
A graduate of Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising, the bride is a manager with Sephora in Charlotte.
The groom, a test engineer with MGM Brakes in Charlotte, graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
