55-PLUS CLUB
MINERAL RIDGE

X The 55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will not meet Tuesday. The next meeting will be at 12:30 p.m. Jan. 15 at St. Mary Church. Cards will be played and members will dine out.

1418 AUXILIARY

X 1418 Auxiliary Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Oakview. John Texter will preside. Cancellations must be made by Monday to Kay Shabella (330) 755-0459. Any call after that date will not be accepted. Birthdays and anniversaries will be acknowledged, and cards and bingo will be played. Illnesses or deaths among members should be reported to Ann Banyots at (330) 782-7048. Call Ellen Testa at (330) 788-9430 for tour information. Dues of $5 will be collected for 2008.

CORNERSBURG SENIORS

X Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet at 11 a.m. Thursday at Blue Wolf Banquet and Catering on Tippecanoe Road. Betsy Koneval will preside. Dinner will be served at a cost of $10. A representative from the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department, rescheduled from the October meeting, will discuss the Safer Seniors program. New members are welcome. Anyone wishing to join or attend as a guest the first Thursday of each month may do so by reserving lunch with Koneval at (330) 793-7755 or Linda Wiland at (330) 318-8472. Future programs will include singer Loren Coler in

February, and a physician from the Center for Hearing Care, who will speak and check hearing in March. Greeters will be Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. Illnesses should be reported to Eleanor Zuby at (330) 799-7127.

LOWELLVILLE SENIORS

X Lowellville Senior citizens will not meet in January. The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. Feb. 1 at the conference room of city hall, with Delores Romeo presiding. Dues of $5 will be collected for 2008. Reservations are to be made with Eileen Flora at (330) 755-0467. Illnesses or deaths should be reported to Louise Schiffhouer, (330) 536-6346. New members are welcome.

ST. NICHOLAS SENIORS

X St. Nicholas Senior Citizens will meet for a luncheon at 11 a.m. Jan. 8 at Father Petric’s Social Hall. La Verne Cox will preside. Reservations are required by Jan. 2. Send a check for $7, made out to St. Nicholas Seniors, to Laura Opsitnik, 138 Iroquois Street, Struthers, OH 44471. Illnesses or deaths should be reported to Mary Hudoba at (330) 757-4852. Membership dues for 2008 will be collected. Everyone is welcome.

YSU FREETIMERS

X Youngstown State University Retirees will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s Restaurant on Route 224 in Boardman. All retirees and friends are welcome.
