WINTER DRIVING

Emergency kit

Here are a some items that should be packed for winter driving:

Jumper cables to restart engine.

Cat litter or sand for tire traction on snow and ice.

Shovel to scrape snow away from tires.

Ice scraper to clean windshield.

Blanket to keep warm in vehicle.

Flashlight and extra batteries to increase visibility.

First aid kit with medication in case you are stuck on the road.

Food items containing protein such as nuts and energy bars and canned fruit and a can opener.

Water for each person in your car and any pets.

AM/FM radio to listen to traffic reports and emergency messages.
